A New Year Brings New Ideas

Over 85 young people from Mount Clear College, Mount Rowan Secondary College and Ballarat Grammar School, stepped up to participate in Ballarat’s Social Innovators (SI) program which is run by Crazy Ideas College (CIC).

Across the two days, participants generated crazy good ideas, prototyped how these ideas could work in the community, and presented compelling pitches to a panel of community partners.

Ideas presented ranged from ‘Plant-a-pot’ – a fully compostable plant pot, to the ‘Basketball Bin’ – a basket style clip-on that can be added to bins in schools to encourage students to pick up and dispose of rubbish in a fun way.
